The Havell Hundred Mysteries

Mysteries? Surely mysterious occurrences on and near the Glebe Mound in the Havell Hundredwere all investigated and solved satisfactorily by Great Havell police as reported by the local newspaper, the Gleaner. They weredocumented alongside photojournalist and feature writer Margery Moore’s activities in “Death Behind the Headlines”. Goodness knows what that stroppy, sarcastic Scotland Yard detective was roped in for! But, DI Barker does like the Falcon Brewerybeer;he brought his family to the Moyen Midden Fayre;he does rather like singing (and showing off) whenthe eccentric Eric Boltonplays pianoat the Arts Centre. In the words of Ian Drury “There ‘aint ‘arf been some clever bastards”My guess is, DI Barker is likely to be back, if only to collect his favourite dance bands of the 1920s on 78 records in the Havell Hundred antique, second hand shops and fairs.
